The Power Scarcity
The world is gradually moving towards a serious energy crisis, due to an ever-increasing demand of energy that oversteps its supply. We have always known that the energy we use every day is limited, yet we take it for granted. Oil, gas, power, even water has a limited supply. Yet, we have not taken enough precautions to deal with a possible energy crisis. When I say ‘we’, I am not just referring to the governments but to all of us, the common people.

Gas and oil have become costly, and every day these resources move closer to depletion. There are some ignorant people who believe the energy crisis is made up, not real, a myth. They don’t seem to be looking at the whole picture. So far we’ve experienced three serious energy crises: the 1973 oil crisis, the 1979 energy crisis, and the 1990 oil price hike, not to mention several regional crises.
Prices have been rapidly increasing during the last several years, due to the ever-growing demand and the continuing depletion of energy resources.
How soon will it be all gone? Are the skeptics correct in saying that we are making a mountain of a molehill, or is the energy crisis a valid concern? Well, think about this: Fifty percent of the world’s oil is gone. At the current rate of depletion, the remainder of the oil will finish in 32 years! Imagine if the rate of consumption were to increase! We all know that is bound to happen. So, even the present generation will face an acute energy crisis in the later years, let alone future generations.
The Solution Is Solar Energy: Simply Build Solar Panels and Make Your Own Power.
What are we doing about it?
Are we prepared for this impending energy crisis? What can you and I do to tackle it? First, we need to understand the importance of energy in our lives and stop taking it for granted. We have to minimize the use of oil, gas, electricity, or any other fuel. We cannot afford to waste our precious resources. It is also important to broaden awareness about the limited availability of energy resources. Simple measures like joining (or starting!) a carpool, shutting off your car at stop lights, and generally reducing the use of gas and oil in everyday activities can all help ameliorate the energy crisis.
What are the alternate energy options?
Solar energy and wind energy are two great alternative sources of energy that a caring and responsible world citizen can utilize. Using these alternate power solutions is practical and cost-effective. You will not only lower your power bills but also contribute to a better future for the world.
