Impractical Jokers is any reality/prank television series which often premiered on truTV about December 15, 2011. It follows the four members in the comedy troupe The Tenderloins while they coerce one another in doing public pranks although being filmed by disguised . cameras. The show differs via other prank television programs as the stars of Impractical Jokers do not know the details of the prank till the moment they are performing it on strangers. The cast of Incorrect Jokers has been friends jointly since high school. Their live improv comedy troupe, The Tenderloins, was formed in 1999. However, their television debut happened only recently. In 2008 they filmed a pilot episode for the scripted sitcom meant to get broadcast by SpikeTV, but the show droped through. TruTV announced the string Impractical Jokers on The spring 12, 2011, 8 months before the particular show’s debut. one of the show’s celebrities, James Murray, explained how the undetectable camera format made sense based on their skills. “We needed to find the appropriate format… thing is, we’ve been doing this for decades, but when it’s with camera, the embarrassment is increased. ”
Before every challenge, the four comedians outline the policies of the challenge. Challenges are often exclusively for one member to say whatever line is provided to him, although some challenges include more complex rules such as successfully convincing a random stranger to convey or do a specific thing. After the challenge is made, each member of the troupe uses a turn performing the challenge as you move the other three members watch and listen by using a hidden camera and mic on the cast-member performing the bogus. The location in that this challenge takes place can be quite a public area such being a city park or a boardwalk. Although the criteria of each challenge is the same for all the four comedians, the outcome is often distinctive depending on what lines are fed for them from the others.
Throughout each episode, a tally is maintained for each time among the comedians fails at the task.
